There were lots of complaints and a petition in France to Renault from families w hen they were going to call the car, Zoe.

Young ladies called Zoe were complaining in 2010 none more so than a 23 year old student called Zoe Renault, who hired a lawyer who specialises in first names protection.

Sh e told news paper Le Parisien, she ‘did not want her identity to be reduced to the image of a car or to be associated all her life with a vehicle. it would be unbearable for me to hear, ‘the Z oe has broken down’, ‘we have to get the Zoe overhauled’ or ‘so and so killed themselves in a Zoe’.
